Field Validation

You can specify that the contents of a field must conform to a certain format.

1. Click on the field for which you wish to create a validation rule.

2. In the Validation Rule menu, select a format for the field.

The validation rule forces the data in the field to conform to a given format. This is important if the information in the form is to be saved in a database. Additionally, it makes further processing of the data easier.

 

Multipage Form

If necessary, a form may contain multiple pages. If the form is long, it's a good idea to divide the contents between several pages.

1. Create a new page for the form by selecting New Page in the field palette on the left.

You can also arrange fields into groups. You can put related fields in one and the same group. For example, it would be a good idea to create a group for the Contact Details item in the form if it contains multiple text fields such as a name, company, email and street address, for instance.

2. Create a new section for the form by selecting New Section in the field palette on the left.
